Management Team

Penny Munn, Executive Director

Penny Munn is a woman who brings life and energy to the senior housing industry. Having more than 22 years experience in senior living, she boasts an extensive list of accomplishments, and has developed an intimate understanding of the senior market and its challenges. Munn brings with her a distinctive brand of vibrancy and dedication to broaden and execute processes, thus returning personality to a personal business.

Penny has a degree in nursing and holds a RCF Administrator license. Penny’s passion for her chosen profession is evidenced by her devotion to the senior population with a background which includes three years as Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Facility, four years as an Assisted Living Administrator, eleven years as an Independent and Assisting Living Regional Manager, and four years as a Full Service Resort Retirement Living Executive Director.

Penny’s true commitment to excellence, customer service, and an old fashioned “whatever it takes” management style, is what makes her stand out from the rest!

Keyanna Rawlins, Health Services Director

Keyanna Rawlins has worked in the assisted living field for several years and has worked in various positions in healthcare. Keyanna was born in Newark, New Jersey, and raised in Bermuda. She moved to Las Vegas from Florida, the “sunshine state.” Keyanna came to Acacia Springs in December, 2009. Keyanna is a Licensed Practical Nurse and graduated from Kaplan College in Las Vegas. She is currently continuing her education to become a Registered Nurse. Keyanna says that she loves her job and knows that when she puts a smile on the face of a resident or makes them laugh, she is doing the job that is right for her and the residents she serves. Outside of work, Keyanna’s five year old son, Jovan, is her heart and joy.

Chef Lavell, Director of Food Services

Lavell Renfro has well over 20 years of experience in the culinary field. His introduction to food service came while serving in the military in which he served 20 years. Lavell served in the United States Marine Corps as well as the United States Coast Guard. Lavell has had the pleasure of cooking for dignitaries (foreign and domestic) from all over the world. Upon retirement from the military, he was employed as a Food Service Manager for Sodexho Corporation for two years before becoming a Child Nutrition Manager for Craven County School District in New Bern, NC. Lavell is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Las Vegas, NV. Lavell was born and raised in Oakland, California, where he was a standout athlete in football, baseball and basketball. In his spare time, Lavell enjoys coaching youth sports and teaching children the fundamentals of sports and life in general.

Carol Ann Kimble, Community Relations Director

All of Carol Ann’s advanced education and career history has been in sales and marketing. Helping people find the right housing and lifestyle fit has always been Carol Ann’s passion. She has been Sales and Marketing Director for a new home, semi-custom builder in Colorado, Sales Trainer for Century 21 Real Estate, on the Board of Directors for the Nevada Apartment Association, and District Manager and Manager for various apartment and senior housing communities in Arizona and Nevada. Carol Ann believes that building relationships and assisting others with finding what meets their own personal needs are the very best parts of being in Community Relations. She loves being part of the dedicated and caring team at Acacia Springs. With lots of smiles and hugs to go around, she calls all the residents her new family. In Carol Ann’s words, “It doesn’t get any better than this!”

Chanelle Pickens, Activity Director

In 2004 Chanelle graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Broadcasting. After years of working in radio and television, Chanelle decided she needed a change and jumped at the chance to work in the Acacia Springs Marketing Department. She has been with Acacia Springs since 2008 and in the summer of 2010 was given the opportunity to head the Activity Department. Her energy, organization and creativity are all qualities that contribute to the department and ever-growing Acacia Springs calendar. Even though she has not been in the senior industry long, Chanelle has learned many new things and met some truly amazing people. When she isn't running through the halls of Acacia Springs, Chanelle enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Brad, cat Stu and dog Boris. Her hobbies include yoga, watching NASCAR, snowboarding, gardening and reading.

Annie Liguori, Director of Concierge Services

Annie oversees the 24-hour concierge service at Acacia Springs. She organizes and maintains a variety of services and activity-related appointments for residents and guests. In her spare time she enjoys dancing, decorating and spending time with her family.

Penny Land, Business Office Manager

Penny oversees the financial operations at Acacia Springs and serves as the staff human resources coordinator. She is originally from North Carolina and moved to Las Vegas eight years ago. In 2005, Penny began working in the senior living industry as the Business Office Manager at Heritage Springs. She has had the unique opportunity of working at all three Las Vegas BPM senior properties as the Business Office Manager. She loves working with seniors. Before making the move to the senior living industry, she managed physician offices for twenty years. In her spare time, Penny enjoys watching her son, Justin, play baseball.

Steve Higby, Building Services Manager

Steve has been at Acacia Springs for four years. He has over 27 years of construction and construction management experience. Steve is happy to be here at Acacia Springs and loves working with the residents. He enjoys his maintenance duties and keeping the grounds clean for the residents. Steve runs the safety committee and executes fire drills to ensure the safety of all the residents. He looks forward to a long future with BPM.

Lisa Decker, Director of Housekeeping

Lisa Decker has worked for Acacia for 2 1/2 years. She started in the dining room, and after 6 months, was promoted by Penny Munn to become Housekeeping Director. Lisa is very dedicated to her position. She works very closely with the maintenance department to make sure that our Residents have top notch service. The Residents can always find her if they need assistance and she also acts as liasson to other departments. Lisa lived in Florida 25 years, prior to coming to Las Vegas. She made the move to be closer to her mom.
